Ratter,I have nothing against Herrod other than the fact that they support SCT. I am one of many who paid good money ($1100) years ago for xcal 1 to be SHAFTED by them when they no longer supported the product anymore and made my unit useless!

Everyones entitled to their own opinion, but this has not been brought on by Herrods, Herrods have been working hard on getting this working and iun fact have auto tunes in their own cars, they are having issues at present and will not release the ZF stuff until it's reliable as I'm sure if they released it early and then PCMs were damaged by the flash process etc, their would be many unhappy people.

I read a thread, not sure if it was on this forum or another about somebody getting a tech from ZF to do a flash under warranty on their ZF and the Tech from ZF was having all sorts os issues to get it to flash, this possibly might be what Herrods are facing at present, not sure.

The original 2 week claim was made by a previuos distirbutor more than 2 years ago, I do not believe Herrods have released a date at all except recently they said it would be soon.

Be patient people. You need to remember that not even Ford can access all of the TCM information. Only ZF has full control, so reverse engineering all that will take quite some time, not to mention money.

Reminds me of that song

I got my mind set on you I got my mind set on you

I got my mind set on you I got my mind set on you

But it's gonna take money a whole lotta spending money

It's gonna take plenty of money to do it right child

It's gonna take time a whole lotta precious time

It's gonna take patience and time mmm to do it to do it

To do it to do it to do it to do it right child

:)

I just consider myself lucky I decided to buy the xcal3 from a forum member so that once fine tuning's done I have the option!

Getting any information from the ZF head office in Sydney will be a pain in the azz, because you will never get the full information

Maybe that's because they want you to spend the (now priced) $4500 computer control unit that goes with the transmission (not to mention the price of the transmission itself)

Modding with ZF's seem like an bottomless money pit

what I would like to know is, I still have the xcal 1 and will be looking at getting a retune soon. so will upgrade to the xcal 3, but is the xcal 3 be around for a while or are sct going to bring out a xcal 4 in the near future? or am I safe with the xcal 3 for a while. cheers.
