gregor Member 459 Member For: 16y 3m 28d Posted 05/06/09 05:51 AM Share Posted 05/06/09 05:51 AM doesnt doing it that way risk a twisted tailshaft? If you could get a higher stall converter set up that wouldnt be an issue (according to my limited auto knowledge).

If you could get a higher stall converter set up that wouldnt be an issue (according to my limited auto knowledge).Stronger tailshafts aren't that expensive, and combined with billet CV's and stronger centres you can buy like the Harrop true trac, it will make a fairly strong rear end, butthen you will probably get to a point where the diff mount bushes will last about 2 seconds though. I don't think anyone has found a high strength solution to that yet, if there is even a way to fix it bar solid mounting it. gregor Member 459 Member For: 16y 3m 28d Posted 05/06/09 06:40 AM Share Posted 05/06/09 06:40 AM you're really just pushing the stresses somewhere else by doing that though (and adding $$ to a project). My understanding was a bigger stall converter would be ideal because it stops that happening.I'm all for zf tuning but I wont be modded for 6 months so hopefully they have it sorted and really tested properly by then.
