about f*cking time ive been waiting nearly 3 years for the day to come now I reckon we will see heaps of zf boxes blow up while tuners get the hang of playing around

?? my tuner has already set up sumthing simular in my zf, it alows me to build up boost while I stall it up. 10psi at 3000rpm :) what other functions will this device allow?

doesnt doing it that way risk a twisted tailshaft? If you could get a higher stall converter set up that wouldnt be an issue (according to my limited auto knowledge).

Stronger tailshafts aren't that expensive, and combined with billet CV's and stronger centres you can buy like the Harrop true trac, it will make a fairly strong rear end, but

then you will probably get to a point where the diff mount bushes will last about 2 seconds though. I don't think anyone has found a high strength solution to that yet, if there is even a way to fix it bar solid mounting it.

you're really just pushing the stresses somewhere else by doing that though (and adding $$ to a project). My understanding was a bigger stall converter would be ideal because it stops that happening.

I'm all for zf tuning but I wont be modded for 6 months so hopefully they have it sorted and really tested properly by then.

Sure there is some stress, my car has been boosted to 10psi off the line approx 25 times now, it hasn't broken one part.

Domenello built auto with his custom converter, 60 foot 1.67 in street and race trim..
