mate you paid for it to be tuned , and it sounds like the guy has some credability , so stop doin your head in and take it back and leave it with them till it's sorted .

some issues can take a bit of time to sort

personally still don't know why you put a 14 psi actuator on a car that only want's low 300 kw it's way to big ,is there any reason you went for a 14

hi guys,

I havent really had the time to get it sorted out apart from my tuner changing the wastegate duty cycle because of overboosting but that's because I need to get it ported and change flapper.

the noise is still there under higher boosts 12 - 16psi but very slightly, not as bad as it used to be. im waiting for rapid v3.0 kit to arrive, once I fit it and get the porting and flapper done ill get it retuned and hopefully sort it out whatever it is.

how did you guys first hear it?? was it after mods?

yeah its sweet when I just have it on the standard tune but one I put the generic 10 pound tune in her that's when it starts doing it so u have to get the turbo ported and the heavy flapper on to fix the problem?

It's all in the tuning, dont ask me how they fix it but the porting and flapper is not required for the fix.

I am not sure what BOV is on it........it looks like a pretty cheap and nasty one do u think if I get like a turbosmart supersonic one with a harder spring maybe that might be the problem or its defo in the tune is there anything I can do with the generic tune like send it back to capa 2 get programed just until I get a custom tune?

yeah ive been told its the actuator working too or could also be in the tune, will get it sorted when it goes for a retune.

the wastegate porting im doing is not to fix that issue, that's for overboosting.

mine done that about a week after I had fitted 14lb waist gate and injectors. What it turned out to be was I used a stainless steel gasket between the turbo and manifold. 1 of the nuts that holds the turbo to the manifold had come loose. I tightened it up and now she is sweet as. The gasket was working like a reed on a duck call. Good luck.
