The Tein SS Performance spec coilovers run 670/436, the street spec coilover runs about 580 front and equivalent rear. I have the former and can tell you body control is MUCH improved over stock. The damping is fine for the street. However, IMHO even 670/436 is less than ideal for SERIOUS use on the circuit. The front rates are still not enough to stop front lateral weight transfer (ie. falling over outside front wheel) 1200/850 is the rate used on "Howsee"s car which has custom valved Zeal Super Function R coilovers, and the word is the thing is excellent on the circuit. mind you this costs about $8k. Other alternatives to run heavier rates than the Teins are DMS 50MM which will allow you to select rates these are like $4-5k I think , and I am sure there is a Custom Bilstein Motorsport solution as well. However, for the money at 2.2-2.5k the Tein SS "performance" spec is as good as you will get for street/track dual purpose use imho of course. Thanks for you viewpoint bloke,Been wondering if any other combo besides the Tein SS "performance" spec coilovers could be better for street/track dual purpose use. Seems like they are still the best setup and nothing else has improved on them yet for $2500!Cheers
