Giday guys.

Starting to look at car audio now. I'm not after anything too horrendous, just something with a bit more bass and treble.

Being a ute I'm ideally looking for something like shallow mounted sub. I just went down to a local Alpine store and they got me thinking about THESE amplified subs... Whats the general consensis about these?

They also showed me a Ipod type adapter for BA/BF's which lets you control the ipod via the vehicle controls. It also runs off your ACC so it won't keep playing after you turn the car off. Does anyone have one? What are they like?

Cheers,

J.

I only have the aux plug in on the premium sound on my BA I was under the impression that u could not get ipod CONTROL through the ICC.

Yea that's the one I have too.

Been looking around but can't find info on it. I looked at they're little book. Its specifically made for the BA/BF. Kinda looks like a normal aux plug, but has RCA's and some box looking doohickies. I'm guessing that'd have something to do with the steering wheel controls.

RCA's and ICC sounds like effort already. Be keen to hear how u go though. If it isnt as hard as I think.

dont get one of the BUS20 or BUS25

they are J U N K ! !

Are they?

Are all those types of amplified subs garbage?

Performance aside, it'd be sweet having subs under the seats.. definitely out of the way

I havent come across a decent sub/amp in one box yet.

just put a 4 channel under the passanger seat to run some splits in the front and a 12" behind the seat.

if you think you might need the space behind the seat at times, just mount a 7pin small trailer socket in the side of the box and put the trailer plug on the speaker wire. makes it nice and easy to dissconnect and take out
