Hey all,

I have the problem of deciding between an XR6T and a G6ET (not unusual it seems after reading a bit)

Not really bothered either way with the exteriors, like both and could live with both.

But the interiors! I MUCH prefer the look of the G series over the XR's.

Then again, for a performance car, not having an LSD in the rear would really bother me.

So my questions are;

How important is the LSD?

What does the XR6T interior look like with the luxury pack? anyone have photos of seats and dash? (I really like the black dash highlights on the G6ET compared with the silver on the XR6T)

Most people seem to be not worried about the lack of LSD; the only people that ARE worried seem to not be able to justify why they're worried other than "Oh but you can't have a performance car without it".

Believe me - you don't need it! It was the interior (along with all its gadgets) that won me over too

um...the interiors are really the same, just different colours. Mind you, the piano black does look quite nice.

As for lux pack vs standard - replace all the silver trim with a fake carbon fibre, and change all the black buttons to silver (a la the G6ET) and you're there. Looks pretty good, but I'm pretty happy with the standard silver.

:stupid:

All the extra bits that sold it for me too.

I.e. not having to dip the rear-view mirror or worry about a second driver changing the seat/mirror positions or radio station etc....that has changed my life :laughrolling:

you can't option a G6E turbo with an LSD? If not, it couldn't be that hard to swap one in - if it bothered you (I'd want the limmy).

... and just in case you're interested (I know I've mentioned it in another thread somewhere, probably in the same vein) the G series is ever-so-slightly quicker to 100 km/h and the quarter.

And yes, it comes with a colour-coded cardie too.

I was lent a FG XR6 (non turbo) while my car was in for repairs for a week. The XR6 didn't have an LSD either, and my preference was decided a few corners later. Flooring it out of a corner from standstill I felt a bit of axle tramp, but it didn't/can't step out like a car with LSD, was suprised how it didn't step out at all infact.

Dissappoint soon after seeing a smoke trail behind me like I've never seen before, for a good 60metres atleast. FAIL :stupid:
