I have been talking to numerous Exh shops and told numerous things. I was looking at changing my standard system so I could get a better note. I wanna know if its better to go a single 3 1/2 inch system or a dual 2 1/2 inch system. what are the pros and cons of each. I was also told by two shps that a single 3inch system works better on these than a single 3 1/2. can anyone help me on this as its getting very confusing. I already have intake side and injectors done. so next is to sweeten that note. pumping out 291 RWKW so far.

By that I mean you'll get more power out of a standard exhaust then a 3inch system (with a gutted centre muffler and a hi flow cat).A dual 2 1/2 system will flow more then a 3.5inch system. But for 300rwkw 3.5inch will be heaps!get yourself an x-force system or something along those lines and you'll be happy. I think it's personal preference, as I've never seen more power from either a 3.5" or a twin 2.5" when compared on the same car...

I am not a fan of the centre muffler removed sound. I heard a single 31/2 " system recently and I liked it. havent heard a dual 2 1/2 " system yet. so I may wait till I hear one of them. I dont really want much more power, its just off 300 at the wheels so it has no problem getting moving. altho some problem putting power down in the wet *Grinning like a cheshire cat* but I am not sure if I should do the whole system anyway. dump pipe and cat with pipes or just cat back. Power now is no longer the issue. but who knows, the bug has bitten, more power is always a consideration.

The sound that comes out at full noise is like when you put your ear out the window of your car at 100klm/hr. The cat also crapped its self after 3000klm or there abouts. With quite a few back to back exhaust tests the rear muffler when the car had about 500hp was holding back 25hp. Its only my experience but just saying it didnt work for me. I tried running with no rear muffler for a while & sounds great at full noise but when idling sounded like a mac truck. I've recently put a muffler on supplied by chris at rapid systems with twin 3 1/2 tips & it now sounds great at any revs. Try sending him a pm. It'll flow to what you need & goin by what he supplied me it should sound mad. Edited 31/05/09 07:34 AM by qik1

When hitting boost levels it had a whistling noise as R SPEC mentioned earlier. Now I have changed it to a magnaflow race series muffler with a 4" dump pipe and it has made a huge difference with flow and sound.
