OOOHHHKEY!!

"The ADR 79/00 laboratory tests also happen to be the most expensive part of the testing process. As stated previously, these test results are required not only by the EPA, but also by registered Engineers who must then certify the vehicle with the PHASE II system. Registered engineers supply what is known as an Engineer’s Report - which is required by the relevant road authorities.

Whilst ADR 79/00 documentation that APS now holds is applicable to all XR6 Turbo vehicles fitted with the PHASE II System, an Engineer’s Report is required on an individual vehicle basis.

APS will supply registered Engineers with the relevant documentation to save our customers from the grief and huge expense of ADR 79/00 testing. APS will also offer advice on how to go about obtaining an Engineers Report to further simplify the process."

Does this mean the car is done drive away, or does it mean that the buyer is given a guide only as to what engineers to use, and have to negotiate with them. Or does it mean that APS will do all that crap for you so that you just turn the key and drive away??

can someone help? :hiall:

it means .... that if you need a Report (and that may vary from State to State - not sure) ... that the APS will forward the relevant paperwork to an Engineer of your choice .... they won't get the Report for you or tell you who to go to :) that's the owner's responsibility

Just to add, basically APS has the EPA test results already done for you. So you just need the engineers report which costs approx $500 - $800, APS send the EPA results to the engineer so he doesn't have to test your car and the test cost big $$$, so APS has made it as easy for their customers as they can, they've spent the money so you don't have to.

Hi all

I was talking to Dyno Steve about this very topic at Auto Salon in Brisbane yesterday and he is of the opinion that Qld doesn't require an engineers report for EPA.

My advice would be to anonymously contact Qld Transport vehicle modification section and put it to them.
