don't be a turkey mate, learn from everyone elses mistakes and development, get it dyno'ed! the standard boost controller is fine in terms of flow, it's just a matter of if you want a nice little wanky box of flashing lights in the cab with you...

in terms of different boost maps, it's called your right foot! it's like the new Gixer litre and R1s with they're variable throttle maps, I mean ffs, if you have that bad a throttle control, you shouldn't be riding a 1000!

sorry, got a bit off track there, but you get my point...

ok I'm trying to understand what is being said here...

Can you get an XR6T and throw a profec B or Eboost or bleed valve for that matter and boost it up without a tune at all (letting the stock ecu do the calculations for AFR)

Like for example I had a 33 skyline threw a bleed valve and just wound it up... car had AFR gauge and it ran a bit rich, but the computer adjusted the tune fine up to about 12 psi but then you get fuel cut.. only thing is it blew a bit of smoke, but its better than leaning out. All the jap cars can do this fine I dont see why the ford wouldn't be able to.... if anything its newer and should be able to adjust better than the older jappers.

Cheers, Chris

I've been running and E-Boost 2 for over 3 years not (the car is tuned to suit) Variable boost in lower gears is great for maintaining traction.

The ford ecu's are very smart, you can get away with a couple of psi extra but any more and they go into torque limiting and limp modes

Yeah Hiddeous is right... you can pump up the boost with a MBC/EBC (even poke a hole in the lines if your a massive tightwad) but its a crappy way of doing it and loads of timing will be pulled out, dropping power down, and afr's leaning out if you give it too much boost.

I'm not saying you cant do this, but always do it on a dyno or with a wideband O2 set up in the car.
