Bov Direction

fella at work pointed out that my stock xr6t BOV was around the wrong way. so we went online and the first engine bay pic of an fg turbo showed it the way he said it should be. then I looked at a few more pics of FG engine bays and they are the same as mine??? whats with this and which way should it really go.

1st pic is of mine AFTER we changed it and 2nd pic is of the google image (which are both the same way)

and 3rd is of an f6 engine bay, I know its modded but you get the idea.

They operate reverse to aftermarket bovs... air enters the side, exit the bottom

Is that the same for BA-BF. are they the opposite to aftermarket ones?

This blow off valve stuff is doing my head in :retard: ive been reading post about it and still confused, im running 15psi so should I get an after market one or just un plug it and run it out in to atmosphere....... :tonguepoke:

yes ba bf the same they look like their put in wrong but that's the way they go

Red you can do what ya like with it , at 15psi I would probably buy an aftermarket type .What type depends how much noise you want

Cheers for that mate do you of any web sites that sell them with fitting guides or pics so I can see all the different set ups....
