Posted 25/05/09 06:49 AM Share Posted 25/05/09 06:49 AM I have been having a problem pretty much ever since I had the car... at first I thought it could have gone away after a while as the car was still new...changed rims/suspension bits and peices and it's still there.it's a fairly decent scraping sound, if not crunching...just curious if anyone has had a similar problem or knows what it could be..I have read a brake issue with the fg but doesnt sound like it has the same symptoms. Not quite a crunching, but a 'straining' sound.I've been told to just ease off the wheel being 'fully locked' and the sound goes away. It does not decrease the turning circle at all either.I don't know if that helps, but I hope it does! btw, I think I saw you the other day Car's looking tops!Cheers,Dan Edited 25/05/09 07:13 AM by NVT

Posted 25/05/09 07:25 AM Author Share Posted 25/05/09 07:25 AM what causes the problem though.... surely it can be fixed... it drives me nuts as it can even tend to do it at not 85%+ lock as well at times. If you ease off then it goes away... there is no need to full lock and keep it there

I just ease off a little after hitting full lock, also haven't noticed any decrease in turning! My 2c +GST.
