Bovs shouldn't flutter, they are meant to eliminate flutter.

Cheers Dillz, was a bit confused about all the other posts of the stock BOV making all sorts of flutter noises etc. My stock setup is totally quiet, I can't say I hear anything at all really. I don't often go full boost so I guess I may not have anything much to hear.

My tuner had it vented at once stage whilst waiting to have a new bung welding into my pipes and I didn't like the sound at all. Bit like when you release the pressure out of an air compressor.

with the FG stock bov's, I was told to just take the vac line out and block it. (the vac line that is)

without removing the actual stock bov itself or any hoses.

I did this, and sure it seemed to work. mad little flutter! but since doing this, my car seems to have lost a bit of power.

Has anybody else experienced this? is there a way of doing it where u shouldnt lose power or am I better off putting it back to original.

cheers

The bov is probably creeping open under boost and leaking air.

it's interesting you say this, I had this similar setup but with just both ends of the piping blocked (took the bov off completely) which essentially would of done same thing as what the picture indicates.

Then I got bored and started playing with it - I removed the stopper you can see on the top of this picture and my flutter was considerably louder.

so I did this..
