Thanks guys,

I'm just about to change the pads, but atm I'm running the standard pads you'll find in a FG GT. I will be changing them

because they screw out disc's very quickly. I'll be running a street/track compound from herrod soon. Not sure what they

are I just spoke to Rob yesterday quickly about the tune they are setting up for my car.

Benny,

I have gone with the standard tyres dunlop sports max, they handle the track better than what I thought however

the track temp up here makes them go off quickly. I find them to be a great street tyre and a ok track tyre.

I'll be changing up to either fedreals or brigies. But I'm all thinking about putting a 9.5 on the rear end to get more

grip.

I'm running about 1.5sec per lap behind a xr8 with about 20rwkw more and a stripped cabin, and he has semi-slicks.

The only problem I have is with engine temp :(

Please elaborate, coolant temp or oil temp (high oil temp causes the engine to derate IIRC)?

Do you have the police pack engine oil cooler?

Have you fitted a lower temp thermostat??

Also give "Redline Water Wetter" a crack, its an additive that goes in your coolant and reduces temps... havent tried this myself but its always got great reviews in tests.

Also if you race track quite often look into getting a Engine oil cooler fitted, id be using nothng but braided lines either... wouldnt risk running pure rubber hoses.
