tailshafts fail when you lower them is because a tailshaft is made for the ride height of a standard car or ute. once you change it the tailshaft is now sitting at different offset which means it puts more stress on the yokes if single peice if it two peice it puts stress on the centre bearing and rear yoke because you pushing tailshaft into the gearbox more which also changes the spinning angle they are designed to spin in certain angle if change it change it cause friction on those points which was it designed to sit on

good answer, Would love to lower mine but could not be f'd to worry about speed humps and steep driveways, plus I only have a front to worry about, would make dick all difference I think in look in the back.

so we pretty much cant lower these utes then? without sh*t breaking or do we have an option?

My 08 Fg f6 ute ute has been lowered to the same height as this, 350rwkw and has seen 10+ qtr mile runs and has no signs of giving in. 15000kms later
