This was my first ever attempt a few years ago.

I liked the original photo but the HDR brought it out much nicer IMHO.

This was done off a JPEG image with the exposure adjusted in Photoshop

then I did the merging on Photomatix.

holee feck ! just found this thread, how,where,wtf and how can I do HDR ? got a digi SLR (A200) and would love to turn out some of this stuff ! love the "acid" comment :3gears: anyway, lets just say I am loving the talent and the the photo's that the car freternity have ! seems there is a lot of interest due to the love of suck, squeeze, bang, blow ! :spoton:

Rab there are a heap of Tutorials on youtube etc on how to do it.

Google it also.

I use a program called photomatix.

You should have three images from the same point in three different exposures.

one normal, one overeposed and one underexposed and then you merge all three images together

it will depend on how much over and under they are

with how dramatic the effect is.

You can also do it off a single image (as my 2 above where) by adjusting the levels on photoshop before merging the images.

Does that make sense??

I've been playing with HDR a bit lately. I think I'm slowly starting to get the hang of it. I need to work on halo control a bit more, but it's starting to come together...
