Keith.

You must be annoyed as hell!.. I know I would be. I dont have the T yet but I'll be taking delivery in a week after a mamoth 5.5 months of wait. I could live with the brake shudder and most of the other faults I've read about... but not the power loss!!

Just a quick update.

I dropped the car into ELN Wyong today. Apparently Dean (their expert mechanic) has taken it for a run and confirmed that it has a distinct lack of power low to mid revs. The dealer also mentioned that they could not find any fault codes with it, surprise surprise... I am hopfully going to meet with Dean tommorrow and get a bit more of a technical understanding of what they are seeing etc. He is also going to take it again tommorrow and do more tests etc. I will keep you guys informed of the progress if any.

Ok fellas, time to dispell your fears of the dreaded "Reflash". The reflashing of the PCM in all BA falcon range(N/A,TURBO & V8)will not affect the boost control of the engine.Whenever a PCM is reflashed it is usually to do things like remap the fuel system or install diferent calibrations for auto trans operation. If your T is loosing or has significantly reduced engine performance there has to be another reason.I have heard of this problem before but have only seen 1 actually play up when test driving it. After driving the vehicle for approx 5 km make sure the car is in top gear(5th for manual and 4th for auto in sport shift mode)slow down to about 70kph then accelerate again. When the vehicle starts to pick up speed it may start to surge. If this happens then you have a PCM fault that will NOT log any DTC's.What this is is the "C" connector in the PCM has not been plugged in properly and has either fallen out or is sitting loosly in it's hole. If you look under the PCM the "C" connector is the one furthest from the firewall. Put your hand under it and gently push it up.If it is partially out it will move and you will hear a distinctive click as it locks in to place.

By the way guys, your dealer should be able to monitor your boost variations a lot more acurately with thier WDS than your aftermarket guages do while you are driving the car with them. If they dont know how to do this then find a dealer that has tech's that do.This is also a common problem that they should be aware of so dont take any of thier crap.

:) Well guys, I have just spoken to ELN again, and they have told me that it was the wastegate itself that was ceised not the actuator. Sorry for the miss information. Anyway, this means that they have ordered a new turbo, I may have the car before the weekend. Fingers Crossed!

Keithg how did they find the problem.

Did some dyno runs with mine and saw my car go from 195.4 RWKW at 4.5 PSI at the melbourne dyno day known as ATESSA with 1800km on the clock to 177 RWKWs between 6-7 PSI 3500km, Auto 19" wheels with a Lambda (Petrol) reading of 0.69 that's F**king rich and was told straight up that my car needed to run leaner to go better. Both dyno runs were with first run OPTIMAX and second run with Synergy 8000.

Will be taking it to the dealer to get checked with my graphs in hand and telling them to fix the F************************************KING problem. :angryfire:
