The hiss on mine is audible up to you get a volume level of 14 with whatever input AM,FM,IPOD or other. The suggestion is that there is an AMP issue. Will get it rectified when I get time.Only thing wrong with the car otherwise very happy.

Problem is easy to reproduce as it is always there.Service guys looked at it. Did 3-4 hrs of tests so as to report to Ford head office to get permission to replace anything that was causing the issue.Ford head office suggested to the Service guys to go and listen to 3 or 4 new cars in the yard to compare..low and behold all cars had the same issue!! I had already suggested to Ford Customer care to do this a month or so ago but they chose to waste my time instead by making me go to the dealer when they could of got off their ar#$ and found the issue for themselves.Told that the service guys would send an ESR ( whatever this is ) to Ford head office but basically nothing can be done unless Ford recognise this as an issue..... I have sent an email to Ford Customer care asking for someone in mgmt to contact me so they can explain to me why I should put up with a sub standard audio system...... Heard nothing yet.Premium sound .....waste of money in my opinion if the audio system in my car is an example of the quality provided.

I'm assuming the G6E is the same setup? Anyways, it's definitely a fault and I wouldn't tolerate any answer aside from it being fixed. Completely unacceptable in any car let alone one worth of 50k. Had it to the dealer yesterday to have the audio hiss looked into as stated above. Todaythe car failed to start 4 times with a disabled immobilser message. Was able to get it back to the dealer this afternoon.By the end of the day after being worked on it now won't start at all and had to leave it at the dealers. Its still at the workshop to be continued tomorrow.Car has about 1600km on it. I cannot believe my luck.If I am lucky the immobiliser fix will fix audio issue............I can hope I guess. Will update with result...........
