A well thought out and setup GTR will beat just about anything, off the line, on the roll, top end full stop.

Even though they are a tiny 2.6 they are a phenominal engine capable of very high output, ive personally witnessed GTR's run 10's with just management, injectors, 2 320hp roller turbo's good exhaust and a heavy duty twin plate clutch the rest as stock as the day it was built.

If you move up to a 2.8 to 3ltr then it will beat almost anything that's street driving on pump fuel no problems in the world, only thing I would see beating it would be a modified 2jz.

I'm not one to race on the street but by a few blokes that arent shy of a run always told me not to be scared of a skyline or anything rice like that. I never really thought too much of it & when I'd see them at the drags id never really take any notice as most were only pulling low 14's maybe high 13's at best.

I was walking around the pits last time I was out between my own runs & saw one swapping tyres but didnt really take any notice. I saw its first run I think it was about 115mph & did a lowly 13 with abit of wheelspin & the only reason I took any notice was because he was racin one of my mates anyway he came back a little later launched this thing with a gutful of wheelspin coasted down the track & planted it mid track & wheel spun to the end of the track I can tell you it put a smile on my face, I think by the end of the night my times were still quite abit quicker but he did a 11.6 at well over 140mph. It gave me a new found respect for them. Hope I get the chance to race him next time im down there will be great fun!!!

Cars like that dont build themselves so somebody has put alot of time, effort & money you've got to give them props for that. I love a well put together car no matter what make or model & especially when its subtle on the outside like this one.

Yes agree'd im a fan of all thing's turbocharged, ive owned GTR's and sold mine to by something abit more big and comfy hence the ford, the ford are a great peice of kit, but GTR is in a class of it's own.

The jap's have races from 0-300k's, they are right into it, the quickest im sure from stand still to 300k's is 13secs slowest being 20sec I think.

Should be on youtube.

2JZ NO sh*t.... Has anyone seen the black r34 gtr with NOKASH as the plate? Nice looking car and looks like its had some coin thrown at it. You could build a pretty quick xr6t for the price of a gtr but I think the gtr will always be a step ahead in other areas especiaaly around a track.
