Not defending it but that skylines only 280.

GTR's a better all rounder and XRT's are a cheaper all rounder.

Least everyone can agree they are both miles better then a commodore..

:stupid: GTR's are a better car when bought straight off the line, yes much more expensive but that being the case, they outperform a stock XR6-T (just).

I agree with you Ciaron on nearly all points, but im not giving up yet....ha ha

2010 FG XRT = 0-100 = 5.0-5.3 Quarter = 13.4

2010 GTR = 0-100 = 3.0-3.2(!!) Quarter = 11.6

If that's "just" outperformed stock for stock im very surprised!!

b]HUGE price difference accounts for that of course, but im trying to put some sensibility/relativity to equal year/model cars, which is FG v R35. Just as the R34 dominated a BA stock for stock, just as a R33 dominated a AU XR8 etc etc.

Tuned cars, 2011 FGs v 1996 R33 GTRs etc are a different ballgame, and is pointless discussing.

A GTST or GTT cannot be compared to any model GTR as they are slug's compared to GTR...

A 300rwkw T would definately not catch a 250rwkw GTR from a dead stop and would even struggle to beat it on a roll, the more power you put into the GTR the more advantage it will have no matter how much you start putting into the Falcon...

A mate of mine's old R33 GTR, stock as a rock standard unopened engine with just -5 low mount's on all standard manifold's and piping, bigger intercooler, 1 x 044 fuel pump with no surge tank & bigger injector's, also plug and play motec ECU made 350rwkw on pump 98 and ran 10.8's @ 128mph on ET street's all day long, very basic setup with the most costly thing being the ECU which was only a basic M4 motec...

If both the Falcon and the GTR were exact identical weight and were both making an identical 500rwkw the GTR would still spank it on the Street, as the Falcon just wouldn't get the power down like the GTR can no matter the tyre...

I think it's far more realistic comparing cars of similar power or similar price.

Eg, a brand new F6 with 100k thrown at it would be a fairer comparison with a stock 35 as they would roughly be the same price. In all aspects too, not just a straight line as we've already seen that outcome with the Atomic G6.

But yeah bananas are better, they even have their own commercial..

Offtopic question for ya CBXRT, the way you spelt my name then, was that a typo or was that how you think my name is pronounced? (cos you're correct lol, not many people say it that way either)

My opinion is that my car has 330rwkw and its fast in a straight line, but I have more fun driving my mates 2007 wrx sti with 220rwkw. And I can garauntee that I would beat him in a straight line but he would demolish my car on a track in corners
