Still can't get over the versality of the turbo falcon. Can stick the missus up front, 3 kids in back, hook up the boat or caravan, drive comfortable with ease across Australia then unhook the van drop off the family and you then have a pretty fun, fast car to play in. Our cars fill all the family needs. You can't get that from a skyline.

And the average jo can still buy a falcon turbo with new car warranty!

its simple a 4L inline 6 twin cam 4 valve vs a 2.6L six twin cam 4 valve the xr6t is only like 300kgs more, the skyline would have it at the lights but as soon as both hit 3rd its over most street tunes on done up cars stay within 100kw per L of capacity so u just cant mess with the xr6 less boost more power more reliability near same fuel average more simple single turbo, no allwheel drive to worry about more room its actly a car, people wont throw rocks at u wen u drive by only attractive thing about a skyline is if u wait and look round its possible to find one fully done up for under 15k

Did you deliberately make that impossible to read mate! ha ha. Mostly agree though bar a couple of things.

And I believe wank factor for both is dependent on the driver..

Agree. And car colour/alloys.

300zx decimates all.

I wouldnt knock Supras and 300zxs.........mght be getting old but they are still very fast cars. Some jap tuned Supra are mad. More than a match for a T.

WA G6et.. Mate I'm not disagreeing with anyone you said.. But it goes back to the point: You buy the cars for different reasons.. I wouldn't buy a skyline if I wanted to hook up the boat and take the kids and the missus for drives to the shops.. I'd buy it entirely for fun factor.. They are two completely different animals..

P.S. Anyone interested in a GT-T I know one coming up for sale soon..

I was really saying if I could afford two cars I'd have a skyline to play in and a bog stock n/a family wagon(whatever model/ brand doesn't matter) to do the family trips.

But I can't.

The ford Ts do a fairly good job doing both, keep me happy and the family sorted. Wish they did a turbo wagon(I know that has been said before)

100% agree.

I know its impossible (and not cost effective etc), but if they could get the weight off the Ts (and other FPVs) down 3 or 400kgs to around 1400/1500kgs it would improve so much again.

Handling, acceleration, economy.......oh well, they are still brilliant versatile vehicles even if badly in need of weight-watchers!
