In fairyland. A stock R35 does 0-100kph in 4 dead (give or take either way depending on launch). Even with minor mods it does 0-160kph in 6.5 secs - there wouldnt be a T on here (unless a $$$ focused drag racer) that could do either.....ha ha.

My recent time slip (Drags) shows that after 6,9 sec I was doing 162 kms per hour so maybe at 6.5 I was doing 160 who knows and mines a daily driver, do over 500 kms a week in it!

Only GTR Skylines are AWD though so some are still useful compare :)

Straight line only though, stock setup for track I'd wager they would be faster, same again with handling mods on both.

And my mildly modded T did 4.6 0-100 on street surface and 100% street trim including tyre pressure. Law of diminishing returns though I have to say. Getting it to 4.0 would be expensive I'd imagine...but how many T's on slicks have recorded 0-100 on the strip? Is the 4.0 second 0-100 you mention on the strip or street?

Be stuffed if I know Mika. I didnt create it mate! ha ha.

If anyone honestly thinks any T is superior a R35 GTR in any way (other than having a better boot and rear seats) is deluded.

I cant believe im having to make this point to be honest......surely "Ford rules" and all that bull$%^& only goes so far. Clearly the G6 has MAJOR mods to get to 530rwkw, any car can be fast when money is thown at it....but that wasnt the original point was it, but anyway!

This is an old thread for sure....ha ha

Personally, I would back any GTR skyline to smash any T in a real race. They are lighter, almost as powerful, just as easily tuned and have far better grip - of course they are faster unless huge $$$ are thrown at a T.

Your orginal point CB was that you would back any GTR to beat any T in a race. not which was superior. I know if I had the coin I would have an r35 in the driveway (would probably still have the g6 too) but if your are going to change your argument instead of conceding it then we might as well stop now.

T's are superior to Skylines in comfort and day to day use :)

Not for racing, as a general statement.

LOL!!!!

We all know your bias (you think your average T beats everything also) but please......

Is this like a Lord of the RIngs fantasy thread? Was the R35 ignition on? Did it have four wheels? Could the driver reach the pedals? ha ha

1, where have I said my "average" T beats everything? Read back, my T wheelspins that much it nearly goes back wards.

2. You think a stock r35 is the best thing going. So imaging one with 400awkw!! Then imagine the bill!! Over 200k. Any g6e is cheap compared to that. And to be eaten by a Rwd car with that much power, on street tyres, backs my point more. The GTR driver said he had done 307kmh in it, so obviously drives it.

Obviously your feelings are hurt though.

99% of the skylines you see on the street or at the drags are just basic snot boxes that are all noise and no action.

Yes a GTR of any year is an awesome machine and in the right hands would be hard to beat on the street if it was well maintained.

The fact is though most guys that you see running round in skylines think they are driving total weapons but they are just driving basic little jap econo boxes that are noting like a GTR.

I have seen loads of skylines at the drags on T&T nights and all of them have been VERY slow (ie cant do much better than 14's) I am yet to see a decent drag skyline "in the flesh" that can do good times basically because that costs a huge amount of coin (yes I agree as it does in any car), but even just a decent one that can run in the 12's or 11's has not been out yet there have been LOADS of turbo and V8 FORDS and Expensive Daewoo 100% street cars out at the drags that run 11's in full street trim.

I think the negativity in this thread is because a GTR is pretty rare on the road, and really should not be compared to a XR6T as its not a fair comparo, the XR6T should be compared to the skyline GTS (2.5L turbo 2wd).

The GTR is hugely expensive compared to a XR6T to purchase and can swallow MASSIVE coin to modify and maintain and if FORD did an AWD XR6T it would be a decent comparo.
