trevs Member 781 Member For: 17y 10m 20d Gender: Male Location: balmain Posted 18/05/09 09:44 AM Share Posted 18/05/09 09:44 AM (edited) hello all as above im over my car having the handling of a tugboat and have decided to get some sway bars fitted ive already got uprated lowered kings springs and bilstein shocks and although its better its still crap ive read many posts on here about sway bars but im still not sure what size is best for the street ? also do the whiltline sway bars come with all the needed bushes for fitting if not what else should I be buying ........at the same time ill also be getting both the lower control arm bushes changed the caster and the rear one and also upper and lower ball joints changed since half these parts will be removed anyway and my car has 80000km on it I figure its only a matter of time befor they need replacement anywayany ideas on size and places to buy the sway bars and a round about price cheer trev Edited 18/05/09 09:47 AM by trevs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Erko Donating Members 1,079 Member For: 21y 5m 11d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 19/05/09 03:51 AM Share Posted 19/05/09 03:51 AM I disagree on getting the biggest sways you can. 27/22 with your kings is about right. with 30mm front will push the nose too much and deaden steering........bigger sway bars also mean faster breakaway, and minimise slip angle which street tyres are designed to run at. dont confuse flat cornering with improved grip.......in many cases it just gives the driver more confidence but less mechanical grip. the real answer is big spring rates, but big $$ to get the right shocks for them, so what you have now plus adjustable 27/22 and good tyres is a good compromise for everyday use imho Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
