Turbo Bearings

I recently got my car serviced by a mechanic I usually take my cars to but this is the first time he has serviced my xr6t. He has told me that my turbo bearings are on there way out because you can hear my turbo spinning after the engine is switched off.

I thought it was because my growler air filter kit making it sound louder, it doesn't sound loud at all just sounds like it spooling still, does anyone elses do this

It depends how loud it is, and also how hard the thing has been driven then shut-off. How old is the car and how often have the oil changes been done?

mate do a serch this was covered, most xr6t's turbos spin down after you turn it off if you can hear it from in the cabin there proberly worn, but if its just when the bonnets up that's normal, I can on mine, its pritty normal mate they are a ballbearing turbo dont forget
