Ute Fuel Pump

hay all sorry if its been covered before I could not find it by serching.

I want to fit a walbro gss341 I think it is, into my ute whats the process, I replace my wrx one with a walbro it wasnt to hard just had to remove the rear seat

Well its harder then that.

There are two ways. 1. Drop the feul tank. I think you will need to push back the diff as well. 2. remove the liner and cut the spot welds on the plate that covers the pump.

to do it properly without cutting anything you have to remove the tray, yes the whole arse end of your ute will come off.

will take you and 3 mates to lift it off.

tub out, drill the spot welds from the sheet behind the driver and remove. then lower the tank just enough so u can remove the screws. when u put the pump and holder bak in, use allen key bolts, so its easier to remove/install.

:blink: I took my tub off to do my fuel pump, and while it wasnt too difficult, it took 3 of us to lift it...

if I was to do it again, I would just put in a pw surge tank...

Mics method in post #4 would be worth a try first of all, it would take all of 20 minutes to get it done if you can manouver the tank down a bit to remove the swirl pot.

remember when removing the swirl pot turn it 90deg as you lift it out as not to catch the fuel gauge float.

when you say tub do you mean just the black liner? if so how do they come out? also a tune is not reqiured if I just fit a walbro? it wasnt in my wrx cheers
