I can't really compare with a FG cause I have never driven one before
Mish Member 84 Member For: 15y 9m 16d Gender: Male Location: Canberra Posted 14/05/09 10:51 PM Share Posted 14/05/09 10:51 PM I think that's expected coz the VE is newer then the BF is it not? The FG has a lot of different suspension components which supposedly make it a much better handling car. I did think of one more car that could do almost all of the things I'm after, a Turbo LIberty...although I gather they aren't as quick as an FG Turbo so there would be some work that would have to go into it.How's this helping with your decision Jim? I'd still take a turbo over the VE Bogan special though!I bought my F6 because I had a 350z which was nice but to make it quicker was going to cost about $15k in the form of a twin turbo kit.. would have been a beast but $15k is a lot of coin.. So I was set on a GT til I drove the F6 and signed almost that day... didnt really look at anything else apart from HSV's which were no comparison to the F6 IMO

XR6T is going to be my best option. The only other car on my list I could realistically live with is the monaro. Sports cars are great, until you have to drive them everyday. Every time I drive my Impreza for more then 40 mins I miss the seats in my old EF Gli Wagon.

Think the BF XR6T is mid 5's to 100 and sub 14 quarters, so it is actually slower.Anyway list of cars I was looking at before going the XR6T'92 R32 GT-R'94 BMW M3'95 R33 GT-R'98-02 R34 GT-T'02 Mazda RX7 Series 8'02 R8 Clubsport

Didnt know anything bout the 6t's at all, when I was at the dealership ready to purchase the ss I saw a xr6t there so I thought "what the hell" and took it for a test drive........and well.... you know the rest of the story lol

Then he asked me to pull over, rev it to 6000rpm and drop the clutch. .25 of a second of rear wheel spin then the front wheels kick in to help = launch, I was lucky enough to snap a quick change into second gear and, voila - the sub 5 second 0-100.I guess what I'm trying to say is that's the only way they reach that speed in that time. quick launches and great handling but when cruising around they aren't that quick.nevertheless I would still love a 32 GTR one day, such an iconic car + I could never manage decent launches in my ke20 lol.
