Are xr6 turbos going to be valuable in 30 years,im not talking gtho valuable there will probably be nothing ever like that again.See I have the chance to swap my 05 xr6 turbo 6 sp man for an XW GS,no not a v8,not even a matching nos car but it is a tidy cruiser. It has original trim -black ,steerring wheel ,doesnt have the original wheel trims just period correct 12 slotters. It has a fresh 2V 250 matched to a factory toploader it s got new brakes and like I said Its tidy. This vehicle, provided its maintained will alway be worth $20K+.I know that in 30 years it will probably be worth just as much if not maybe a little more my question is xr6 turbos being the first factory turbo 6 made by ford will it be in the same class or just another xr6.any opinions welcome

It depends on whether or not they axe the I6 engine, and even if they do, it's wont be worth a legendary amount. It'd just feel kind of special to own one.

Nissan Skyline GTR '92: 110K new, 20K now. And this is the iconic car that got banned from Bathurst for being too good.

I do like it when you see people go round the back to have a peek at the badges. Mostly its a falling look of "oh... its a turbo," but sometimes you get the sly knowing look of appreciation. If its kids its just "my VN is totally fully sik faster"

Rancidpunx. Little kiddies are ignorant. Really cracks me up sometimes.

"It's a V8 so it's gotta be better than a 6". "I don't know what a turbo is, but my daddy's V8 Late model camira is da best".

They have no f*cking clue about physics, they judge car performance based on max speed and not acceleration. Heck, I know a guy who's 21 and thought the same way, I had to give him a lesson in physics.

LOL, sorry guys but the future will not be kind to petrol powered cars, only the rarest and most valuable will be saved all the rest will end up being recycled into ipods.

The only people who will be able to run them will be collectors and the rich, get used to electric cars you will be driving one in the next two decades.

Speaking of displacement ... meet the Dodge Tomahawk, 8L V10 engine on a motor bike. No replacement for insanity either.

What has happened with many other quick aussie cars over the years... :nono:
