I'm running the GT Series 600x300x75 on my BA XR 6 and in comparisment I went to the drags with a friend who is running

a PW cooler but near identical everything else in a BF F6.

Mine when a few tenths quicker. I also had to short shift 3rd as it started to ping and got back on it steadily in 4th.

My car is tune by myself the other was tuned by a reputable shop and said to have 380rwkw.

I am pretty happy with its performance.

With my cooler it didn't come as a kit and I fitted it up higher enough so I can still get the under tray on.

To do so I had to remove some material at the front of the chassis rails so the hoses could fit.

A better option would be to have the outlets cut and welded at a angle as per other big coolers to fit the falcon.

Well worth the money.

pube does the over the radiator intake still fit?? did you have to modify/cut anything? cheers mate

No the over radiator intake will not fit back on. One positive side, it has nice induction note, sucking hot air or not. I also have a second intake snorkle anyway. The radiator fan shroud needed a bit of a trim, not the fans themselves though not a big deal. Also as you can see, the cooler hangs a bit low. I trimmed the lower part of my bumper so the last row of the cooler hangs below. Might sound a bit nasty, but if you take your time cutting it, it will turn out neatly. The stone tray does not fit back on but it has not been an issue driving without it at all. The steel bumper reinforcement structure needs to be trimmed which is common for aftermarket intercoolers. Ya gotta remember, this cooler is 100mm thick. Also, the kit comes with some sh*t alloy angle pieces which hold the cooler in place. These broke within a week so I made some up myself easily out of steel. The cooler is solid now.

yeah, just installed this on my car. bit of a tight fit, cos its large, but definitely worth the money.

the car has a flashtune to suit the cooler, so no complaints yet.

those that question the height of the cooler, how tall do you want it to be as its sitting behind the bumper support and not getting airflow? you want the largest 'cooler volume open to available, cool airflow.

Having done temperature testing on an intercooler before using thermocouples, I can attest that any area of intercooler obscured directly by panels or the like is nigh on useless.

Definately needs a tune as my car overboosted easily before the tune. Heres some pics of the kit on my car for reference.

Damn that sits way low for my liking . Surely it's no harder to fit then a rapid kit, as that needs cutting to fit too.

Pube, so your saying if you wished so the cooler wouldnt of been under the lip?

Ideally, it would be better if the cooler sat a bit higher so you didnt have to mod the bottom of the bar and also retain the stone tray/guard. The less cutting the better! However, it turned out nicely in the end. I have ground off the two alloy bosses on the bottom of the cooler that are not used, it doesnt bottom out like it use to.

I have fitted mine and the cooler sits high enough to still have the plastic stone tray fit.

However I had to grind away metal from the front chassis rails to get it up high.

If yo look there is excess metal past the spot welds & I remove it keeping the welds intact.

So it doesn't remove any structural material.

the only down side with mine is the fitting coming out of the condensor keeps it

from being central. (Not the one you bend out of the way).
