Ferrodo, Bendix, EBC, etc. Race Brakes in sydney are also very close to releasing their RB74 pad. One of the best places for info on pads is the MRT forum due to the amount of track work people on that forum do or ask DBA Steve. You have to pick a pad that suits your driving and budget. Guest Guests Posted 29/08/03 10:30 PM Share Posted 29/08/03 10:30 PM chrislak, do you find they need a bit of heat before they start to work properly? I am using performax with DBAs in my xy but that was with a bit of track work in mind, dont find dust a problem. On the other hand my premium brakes are dust city. This predominantly happens on cold mornings. I have to admit though, they also release quite a bit of dust. Other than that, they are MUCH better than the standard Bendix pads. I find the Ultimate's give a better pedal feel and are more resistant to fade. (although with a bit of frequent heavy braking from high speeds, fade sets in...)Ross Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/5753-brake-pads/#findComment-46560 Share on other sites
Guest Guests Posted 30/08/03 06:40 AM Share Posted 30/08/03 06:40 AM Ford Power I know what you mean,I live 200 mtrs from stop lights and when I go that way in the xy its my first stop for the day, and on cold performax its a shocker compared to the premium brakes in the T. The pads I used to have on my BMW used to make the wheels go pitch black after about a week, so the ultimates aren't to bad.
