Have not heard about nittos, so donno.

Ended up installing Toyo T1Rs, about $300 a corner. They can handle full throttle, with a minor squeak between first and second.

On the street I run federal SS595 very economical at under $200 mark Ran with them at willowbank with very good grip as well.

Up to track work with the federal 595RS-r for under $300

Also tyre of choice for Targa Tasmainia.

I have just put Federal SS595's on my car for $275 a corner (265/35/18 all round). Considering I have 360rwkw on my daily tune they grip up extremely well for the price I paid for them. I would gladly recommend them to anyone. On my old car I used the Potenza Adrenalin's, they are a good tyre as well but are a little more expensive. It all comes down to what you want out of the tyre and how much you want to spend. Also ring around to get the best price.

Can you tell me where you got the tyres and fitment from Howsee? was gonna get a set for my beast after I had replaced my rack and pinion by myself but repco want $543 for a recon unit! I pissed myself laughing and walked out...

Think I'll just get the tyres fitted and balanced then try and find the rack cheaper elsewhere.

Brett I got them from Neta Tyre Service and Sales, they are at 6 Spiers St Northgate (just off Toombul Road) and their number is 3266 2333. Give them a call and they should look after you. They were the cheapest price around for tyres in the fitment that I wanted.
