We live in a free, capatilist society. We invest in property in the hope that in a few years time someone will come along and pay more than we did. IMHO l dont see any difference. This is the most basic type - you could just put your cash under the pillow if you weren't so greedy that you wanted to collect the 3% interest LOL.If there is a market, there will be sellers and investors wanting to capitalise on it. Good luck to them, some are a gamble and will not pay off. Ever bought a lottery ticket? Well the govt is just putting another tax on you because you are a gambler!!! How many ever win? IMO you have more chance of selling a custom plate heheheh.BTW I have a plate for sale .....
Guest Sorras Guests Posted 13/01/03 11:04 AM Share Posted 13/01/03 11:04 AM I got XRT 602 for mine for once off $155. (plus $9.50 for one slim line). These are standard issue VIC plates, blue on white background.Meaningful, but doesn't detract from the car.
HellionXR6T I'm Back!! Thats right, long over due! :) Lifetime Members 4,348 Member For: 22y 2m 4d Gender: Male Location: West Brisbane Posted 14/01/03 12:14 AM Share Posted 14/01/03 12:14 AM Yes In NSW you pay a fee of around $352 or $452 a year. Cant remember exactly. But they consider it a licensing fee.You have to be kidding me!!You guys/gals in NSW get screwed!!Custom plates here in VIC start from $130 ish for something like XX-0000Up to about $400 for XXX three letter combinations. These are a once-off fee as well!! I 't doesn't phase me personally, if they think it's a good investment move, then let them, first in, best dressed as always. Ahh man,Not bad, Vic: $130.00'ish for a personalized plate. NSW: $169Who's getting screwed? Us!The land of the Canetoads is a little more expensive but hmmm, at least all plates are "once off", you poor NSW folks.QLD:Colourized version of your existing plate "why bother"!!!: $195.00 once offPersonalized Colour plates 14 odd colours to choose from.XXX-00, 00-XXX. $325.00 once off.Theme plates, roughly $375.00 once off, pitty all the designs are really, really bad. The V8 Supercars "Expensive Daewoo or Ford" plates are cool though but they are a bit of a toss. They even have Battle of the sexes plates, please, how lame!!! :banghead: Then if want something other than XXX-00 or 00-XXX it's $1800 or more.....YAY!!! If I had that muh cash to throw around I would have got "PHANTOM" just for the hell of it. Just a Silver on Purple $325 plate will do fine for our beast.
