We were at a level crossing I was pointing the gun at the train, pretending to let off shots [Yeah I know] Anyways we went through the day doing whatever 19 year old dole bludgers do.About 3pm we're at a stop sign and 3 plain cars pounce on us. One behind one at the side one in front. In about 2 seconds they were out of their cars doors open guns out. F*CK!! We get out of the car as requested and assume the position hands on roof legs spread. Totally oblivious as to what we had done [Never occurred to us that someone thought we were serious] Whares the gun Whares the gun they were shouting at us. In the boot I replied. With that I was chucked into the back of one of the cars with a great amount of force. You now what I mean!! All the time thinking what’s all the fuss about it’s only a toy. It took them about 10mins to find and realise it was a Bee Bee gun.Four hours later and a charge of disorderly conduct they set us free with a 2 hour walk home. That hasn’t happened to me for a while now Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/5747-experiences-with-the-police/page/6/#findComment-120875 Share on other sites

Read the section in red it will give you instructions on disposal."Don't be smart Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/5747-experiences-with-the-police/page/6/#findComment-121556 Share on other sites

ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 21y 3m 18d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 12/05/04 01:17 PM Share Posted 12/05/04 01:17 PM I had an argument with a ex HWP (apparently) about if my car had driving lights or fog lights. He ran a redlight and was doing about 120kmh in a residential street to pull me over.I gave me my license as I asked him what I had done and he just walkes away. I thought he was just going to run the standard checks, but he returns with a ticket. I lost it.I asked why I was booked for having foglights on when they were driving lights, he said they were foglights. He had HIS commanhore driving/fog lights on so I asked why he had his foglights on...I said WTF ? I got my cars manual out of the glovebox and asked him to read that my car had DRIVING LIGHTS, yet he said the book was wrong. By now I am ready to hit this *beep*, but I knew better. I took the $65 matter to court and won, the magistrate was dressing down the cop for being a as*hole and driving like and as*hole.I have all the respect in the world for cops except when they are wrong and will not admit it. I wasn't there so I don't know what happened, so we'll leave it at that.By definition a fog light is 'a light that is lower than the centre of the low beam.' So if the light is fixed to the car (like the fog lights on an XR Falcon or an SS) they are foglights, even if the owners manual says they are an additional light or driving light. An additional light is a light that is above the centre of the low beam. The definition is in the Australian Road Rules. This is only for your information, I'm not being critical either of you, the Policeman who booked you or the Magistrate as I wasn't there, I don't have all the facst nor was privy to any conversation. The dumbest conversation I've ever had with a Policeman has nothing to do with my car... although I've had some good ones...Any of you been done for J Walking (you know that heinous act of crossing the street)?... I have, I won't go into specifics but the whole conversation was a laugh and even the Policemen thought it was redundant and stupid, not that he said it, but it was blatantly obvious he was only 'doin his job'..A J Walking fine will set you back a meek $15... without any serious intent I actually tried to pay the copper there and then as it'd save me the hassle of filling in the paper.... People are allowed to look at the radar reading, its standard procedure here to ask. Its also standard to tell people how they can dispute the matter if they think they've been hard done by Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/5747-experiences-with-the-police/page/6/#findComment-122073 Share on other sites
Cobra potty trained Lifetime Members 1,938 Member For: 22y 1m 7d Gender: Male Posted 14/05/04 12:51 AM Share Posted 14/05/04 12:51 AM VG ..... I was having some fun ..... I'm glad there is a standard procedure and we all get treated like license numbers and expiry dates (just kidding I think)... but the way it is performed can be sometimes very comical  officer has radar reading, you are given a chance to look at it ....... why ???? really, I'd like to know why !!! to check to see if the cop is lying ???? I think it is dumb :o as far as being told their equipment is in perfect working order and in the same breath they spell out your rights of appeal ..... I think that is a cheek and it is dumb maybe they could also add that in Mexico no-one gets off in court ... no-one cheers Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/5747-experiences-with-the-police/page/6/#findComment-122129 Share on other sites
