I am not 100% sure that the limiter works very well though, so I've heard anyway

Just tell them the limiter stops you at 230kmph

Got pulled over on Appin road for having my fog lights on. Cop gave me a warning about it (had just come up from wollongong through fog and hadn't flicked em off). Anyway he proceeds to breath test me, says count to 10. I get to 14 and stop he goes your not done yet (im getting scared even though I haven't had a drink). He then realises that its not actually working then goes into a rant about how sh*t all the equipment is in the campbelltown local area command.

Bashes the breatalyser a couple times (real technical stuff). Go for round 2 pass with flying colours after getting to 4.

The dumbest thing someone said to me was " Did you know you look liker the dude in the Village People ?" and I said " Really, but he was a poof and I'm not.....here's a ticket for a smooth tyre, expired label, defective indicator and not producing your license. Read the section in red it will give you instructions on disposal."

How is standard procedure dumb ? People are allowed to look at the radar reading, its standard procedure here to ask. Its also standard to tell people how they can dispute the matter if they think they've been hard done by

I was booked one morning for speeding and took the opportunity to check the radar as I truly believed I was not doing the speed that they were claiming.

Guess what!! The radar was showing 70kph and they were booking me for 78kph in a 60 zone. I asked the question as to why the numbers were different and they claimed that it had picked up another speeder since my infringement.

I wrote a letter in to dispute the offence stating all the details and was denied the appeal and told to take it to court if I thought it was unfair. Unfortunately at the time I had just started a new job so it was impossible to take the time off and the fine was actually less than a days pay, so I just paid the fine and took it on the chin.

Be nice if the lidar/radar infringements came with a photo and time stamp. Do those sort of devices exist?

Cop pulls speeding young guy over and says "I've been waiting for you all day!" Young guy,quick as a flash says "WELL I GOT HERE AS FAST AS I COULD!!!" Apparently he was let go without a fine once the coppa stopped lauging/crying.

Some of these old wives tails still getting around get a good laugh.

Cruising round Sydney one night back in the late 70s (I'm 52 now) and the alternator light comes on. Bugger..., have to pick up my girl at 11 so I'm trying to make it to my mates place near Maroubra cause its closer than my place and I know he's got a spare.

Picture 70'Falcon GT with big wheels, lowered to the max, exhausts out each side under the sills, driving down Anzac Pde with no headlights to save power.

Copper in Valiant charger (yep,this was the 70s )going the other way glares straight at me, bet he thinks Im pissed, he chucks a U turn ,comes after me.

On goes the blue light, I don't stop,(looking for a hill or incline so I can clutch start the car after he books me) Finally after a km or so we find a hill and pull over opposite a big carpark.

Copper gets out and conversation goes;

.Why didnt you stop? Why no headlights?

.Cars got a flat battery. had to find a hill.

.Gee, those wheels look wide? And what about the ride height?

.Yeah, I guess its a little bit low.

.And what about the exhaust,I could hear you over 4 lanes of traffic!

can you start it up?

.I just told you its got a flat battery.

.Well, Im just going to have to give you a defect sticker then.

Copper then walks back to his car to get the defect book and at that exact

moment the gods smiled upon me.

The carpark was actually for the hotel in the next street and out roars this old Expensive Daewoo wagon, with about 8 or so piss heads crammed in it and the guy drives out ,over the gutter scraping and banging and to top it off this other fool sticks his head out the back window and screams out "ya mother****ers" at the top of his voice.

Copper just looks at me and says "just get something done about that exhaust OK' runs back to his car and blasts off down the road after these other dudes.

So lucky, they just couldnt have picked a better time to leave the pub.

True story.....
