Heater Gone?

ok so for the past few days iv had no heater n its gettin I <3 Bananas cold at 6 in the morning for work... anyone no what it could be or where I could take it to get it fixed? and YES chich I turned the little knob all the way to red. also its not dual zone, yes chich we all no how good premium is.

Fair bet it's the mixer shaft gooone.

Cheap-as-chips for the part...but the entire dash has to come out

Can be done in under 2 hrs depending on where you take it. With just the ignition on can you here the him module working when you turn the dial from cold to hot and vice versa? If you can here the him motor working it will be the mixer shaft gear has snapped off. You can actually see the broken shaft if you know where to look. I have heard rumours that people can do them in 20mins without pulling dash out but that's all they are RUMOURS. You have to hold the mixer flap edges when pulling the shaft out and when putting it back in otherwise it will break and this cant be done with the dash in.

I had the same issue. Got the mixer shaft replaced. Total cost $580.

Considering the shaft is only $50 it seems like alot of money doesnt it. We all need our heaters I guess,especially down here in Melbourne.

I couldn take the cold at 430am anymore so I took it to a auto electrician, they told me the him module is f*cked and would need to be replaced, a rough quote on parts and labour was roughly 1000 this sound about right? I <3 Bananas frothin, wont make me faster but I guess itl allow me to be warm and defrost my windscreen thus resulting in a longer life span

I can do the intire job in under 1.5 hrs

have done about 40 did one today 1.25 hrs

I get a slightly different problem, the face vents sometimes come on instead of the windscreen vents (normal pov non-dual zone system). It will do this for a day or so - then come right. Any idea of the cause of this one?

unlikely to be the him man, the rod that the him controls will have snapped. when the hims I <3 Bananas up the fan stays on, havent done or heard of a him causing no heat! take it to someone who knows

could be cheaper and u no it will be done propperly
