I have 245/40 on the back and 235/45 on the front. Both 17's. Are there issues??

Definatly an issue. The ratio for tyre revolutions from front to rear in cornering caused me a hole cruise worth of grief. The smaller aspect ration tyres on the rear are spinning faster then the fronts which occurs more so in cornering, with the inside wheels spinning slower then outside wheels trying to catch up. If you walk around in a small circle your inside leg takes smaller and less pacess to the outside leg.

I think the computer gets confused and believes wheel spin is occurring based upon the millions of mathematical computations its performing each second, when in fact no wheel spin or loss of traction is actually occurring. The car ABS and stability control has no other feature to rely on other then calculate revolutions per wheel and compare this to set parametres it holds in memory. When these parametres are out it thinks your wheels have lost traction and activates the DSC or TC or ABS in line with the parametres that are have been breached.

The smaller tyres on the rear casued my DSC in cornering to cut all my power to the rear wheels last night believing they were losing traction when they hadnt. And the corners are always the best bit :beerchug:

I had the light comming on aswell it was refering to the stability control because the steering rack sensor was faulty. It ended up being fixed under warranty.
