Had it replaced with a Nolathane bush. Picked it up to drive home and the clunking noises coming from the back end are now louder and more frequent than before I had it done. The clunking is now very noticable on every gear change (manual) and any change in throttle (off or on) whilst in gear sends more horrible noises into my ears.I havent had a chance to address this with the installer yet (not mentioning any names at this point) but what I was trying to establish is whether there could be other issues that anyone knows about that may be causing these noises (diff, axle etc.). I am not very mechanical minded and any suggestions would be very helpful. This has been the third place to look at the car now and the problem is worse now then when I started. The first tried to tell me there was no problem and that this was normal for fords. The next wanted a $1000 to replace the bush and the latest replaced it for $550 + part and told me when I picked it up that there were no other problems.Sorry for the long winded post but I really need to have this problem rectified so that I can spend my money on more productive things like increasing KW.Does anyone know of anyone in Perth who really knows there stuff and can provide me with a no Bulls**t answer and actually rectify this problem once and for all. Its my daily drive and not much fun shifiting at 2000rpm all the time

You can PM me if you like, as I think I need to get this done one day too.I guess WA Suspensions have a good rep, same as Malaga Suspensions. The place I got all my work done at, and I highly recommend is Autoride Suspensions in Balcatta, Arnie is a top bloke hey. Its in Balcatta and his number is (08) 9344 1995. Not sure if he does diff bushes though, but when the time comes for me to do it I'll speak to him first.

Rosie Member 361 Member For: 17y 7m 8d Posted 07/05/09 09:54 PM Share Posted 07/05/09 09:54 PM Try Pedders at about $300.00 a side!In Sydney we rang two Ford Dealers about a Week ago and got one price at $680.00 a side and, believe it or not, $1,070.00 a side from a Dealer on the North side!I rang Ford Head Office Customer Service and was told that the Dealers can charge whatever they want!- Makes the Pedders price look pretty good!I installed the Pedders CV. This was for the CV & shaft. Was this what you were quoted on? What is this Pedders gear like as the bloke was claiming that these are supposed to be stronger than the factory ones?? Rosie Member 361 Member For: 17y 7m 8d Posted 08/05/09 03:05 AM Share Posted 08/05/09 03:05 AM the quoted price from Pedders for supply and fit is about right! These are no better or worse than the Ford product.- A bloke over here snapped his Pedders Axle about 2 Weeks ago at WSID!- Not the CV though!Your only real choice is on price and Pedders seem to have a better price!
