Fuel Pump And Valve Springs

Hey guys.

First, I apologise if this has been covered somewhere.

I recently got a tune for my stock BA XR6T and it made 208kwatw on 8 pound. Apparently the fuel pump and valve springs are the only things holding me back.

Once I get these done and the car retuned how much power am I looking at? Are pump and springs the most worthwhile next modification?

Much appreciated.

Michael.

the only thing I had done was put a K&n panel filter and a typhoon lower air intake that's it.

and I just put a capa flash tune with 8psi on my car now its making over 245rwkw....

Yes you should get 208rwkw just by changing the oil and putting your tongue in the left side of your mouth.

Valve springs will get it running smoother . What do you mean when you say you got a tune?

I got it dyno tuned and they turned the boost up.

A few questions:

What year is your T?

What transmission is in your T?

How many kilometers has it traveled?

Who tuned the car to 8psi?

Have you done any mods to the car? Air intakes, filters, etc?

Have you changed the fuel filter/spark plugs/changed fluids/serviced the car?

My car personally made 201rwkw stock (6 speed manual BA MKII) and 273rwkw when tuned to 10-12psi.

Your figure sounds low, but all the questions I've asked above will have an impact. Let me know and I'll try to help.

Cheers,

Christiaan

I would say that you have REALLY sh*te valve springs from the factory to be making only 208rwkw after a tune(I would guess that its a generic tune). my car made 213rwkw on the factory tune and 265rwkw on a 10psi generic tune.

if I was in you I would leave the fuel pump till later on, unless you have the coin, and upgrading your injectors along with your valve springs will leave you with a significantly greater power figure than 208rwkw, and the standard fuel pump SHOULD be able to keep up! but I could be wrong because every car is different...

is your beast a 4 or 6spd auto or a 5 or 6 spd manual????
