That was quality reading.Thanks for posting..

I wondered about how good AFM is.Thought it could be the turning point in the war..Would think amazing fuel economy would be returned on highway driving.

Other European manufactures are employing this device(shutting down half the cylinders) So it must work.Great to see more results on this.

There was an article on it in last month's Wheels magazine - very interesting as I recall they returned some pretty awesome numbers (8 or 9 on highway from memory).

Not sure what the specific 'conditions' were but yeah that was the number, Melb to Syd on a single tank was the tagline I think

Not disputing that the XR8 makes more power than the SS, however the XR8 was not strapped down correctly on the dyno and as a result would have had an exaggerated final figure.
