hey guys

not a gaming question but didnt know where else to post a pc question so here it is.

Im just doing up a spreadsheet with microsoft excel. Ive put in a random number formula " =RANDBETWEEN(5, 108)" which works fine but unfortunately its working too well, apparently with this formula it redoes it with new random numbers everytime something in the spreadsheet is done eg. new data added etc

my problem is that I have to add data to another column based on the random number next to it, and everytime I add the data the random number changes making the data useless lol

does anyone know how to stop the column randomising after it does it once?

cheers

Once you've generated the random numbers once, copy and then Paste Special.

There should be a checkbox or something for "Values".

This then converts the formula to a value - like something you typed in.

Then save it, and when you open/recalculate, the values won't change anymore.
