Importing A Car From The Uk

As the title says...

Is it possible to import a car from the UK? Prices there are cheap and their pound is low at the moment which gives us good buying power...

Are there any companies that can help you out with it?

Reckon it would be worthwhile?

what are you looking at importing? In the UK everyone looked at buying abroad because the UK car market is so high.

Im sure there would be some specialist companies out there to do the hard yards for you including all shipping and paperwork. Ive often thought about having to move back to the UK if stuff didn't work out here, would have to take the ute, obviously. Going the other way there is alot of paperwork to get it on the UK roads to start with. Then there is the servicing of the car and sourcing the parts of a car that's not local. Next the speedo is not in MPH, could be an issue. The shipping and logistics is fairly simple, small fortune though once you pay the transport and taxes. Would be awesome to be driving something unique.

the taxes are stupid for importing the car over unless you have owned the car for minimum 12 months in the uk

you get the luxury car tax if its over a certain amount too and they value it what its worth over here not what you paid in the uk for it..

I looked into bringin my peugeot 205 cti (convertible gti) over but coz I hadnt had it 12 months whilst I was there they were ( wa officials) were throwing alsorts of figures at me and needing pits and this an that I thought sod it I asked a few back street car dealers too anf they came up with it in simple terms...

if we could do it we would too ie if there was profit afterwards.......

remember also if its on the market here already, you may end up going b registered ie with the likes of impreza,s jdm sti's etc I looked into that too lol
