well I have a 05 xr6t now I dont have a rev limiter as in pop pppop pop u no wat I mean mine just stops as if I was tap the brakes and I think its a bit dangerous as I was sliding around a corner (privet road) I hit limiter and the car just stops so you can amagine wat happens.its like sliding in the wet with a single spiner then it kicks 2 not good so wat I wont to no is has any one fitted a b r rev limiter or can the tuner put one on as I have a vcm tune :idunno:

myne doesnt pop or fart either when it hits the rev limiter. She only pops a bit when traction control is trying to do its job.

the beauty thing about technology is that the PCM is rev limiting your motor by Closing the throttle.

When your cars tuned, you can disable that engine rev limitor, and enable the hard cut rev limitor to take place, to give you those fully hektic skyline pop pop pop pop rev limits..

By the way, you might want a set of oil pump drives fitted at the same time....

wilbaz, it is the stock limiter you're hitting mate. I had the same experience for the first time a few weeks ago. Showing a new Lexus driver what for and was not concentrating. Hit it in first and almost went through the friggin' windscreen. (still managed to back off, get second and see him fade into distance though)

btw, you obviously have no drift control if your hitting the rev limitor during a "slide" on your private road..

Seems to be alot of private roads around these days..
