It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

If you can read this message thank a teacher, If you are reading it in English of your own free will THANK A SOLDIER!

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin is

draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.

To all the brave men and women who have dedicated or given their lives to protecting this country and it's freedoms:

Lest we forget....

Watched some of the march and the stories realy hit home how stupid our leaders were to send our fine men and women to their deaths in a sensless slaughter.

War is pointless, but the people who fight for their cause and country are the true heros.

At the going down of the sun, WE WILL REMEMBER

Lest We forget

Have to admit, I went fishing yesterday - however we went early enough that I listened to the dawn Ceremony on the radio in the middle of Botany Bay - unlike the bloody idiots in the 2 stroke tinny that flew past within 3 meters... wankers :spoton:

Those are some very nice words there Bionic.

This is something special & unusual for me, with Saturday being the first ANZAC day in 6 years where I have not been wearing a uniform and saluting at dawn. Strange feeling...

I also agree 100% with youse ZAP & TV. Well said.

Lest we forget.
