Posted 28/08/03 03:46 AM Share Posted 28/08/03 03:46 AM Yesterday SAS (Sydney) quoted me $1500 for the XEDE, stage 1 running 8-9lb, including dyno. Estimate is an extra 30-35rwkw.No other changes. So the $990 must be a Qld special???Stage II with exhaust etc tba.Brian I believe the price qoute at $990 was for a few devolpmantal cars such as ours and turbo6. And because they wre using them for feed back we got a speacil price.the syndey price sounds about right.Ian.

They include a SS owner, WRX (modified) and last TE50.Mate, in the ute, it feels more an animal than the sedan because of the primitive rear end. You can feel it "walking" on its springs out of 2nd and 3rd gear corners under full throttle. My tyres (18's) aren't going to last long at this rate.... but, I don't care because it is so much fun! And yeah Ian, the acceleration doesn't let up regardless of gear. Talk about mowing people down! :D The bad? I think my gearbox is starting to make funny noises.......... If it dies, out with it, in with a Tremec, 6 new bigger injectors and MORE boost, then we will see some action. Obviously, warranty is not a concern - well, it is, but this is way more fun. Did you have a little ding in the right rear lower panel?Yes or no, I've gotta have a good look at your work. If you're only at Chermside I'm next door at Aspley.Close to going for either what you have or the APS jobbie.Look forward to hearing.Mack...... Swift Engine Reconditioners is a good one.Peter Herriman is the man, do all the usual stuff like, new fuel system, heads, valves, cams, remove lots of excess weight from all the internals, a good balancing job, matched and machined inlet tracts, custom designed tuned exhaust, couple of days on the dyno, etc etc. What will you end up with?Probably a wonderful engine that could possibly spin to say, 7500 with a bit of luck, you might get as much as say, 260-280 FWKW and it would sound bloody fantastic. The down side, well you just wouldn't have any bloody money left.................but you would turn heads...............guaranteed.Wadda ya waitin for.Mack...... QikSmurf Member 246 Member For: 21y 7m 1d Posted 29/08/03 01:32 PM Share Posted 29/08/03 01:32 PM given that the chip torque mod is NOT $990 and is in fact as dear as the APS mod, why would you not take the APS with its included warranty??
