its is no big deal with plazmaman plenum if you have to return it back to standard.. just because there is no thread because it has been drilled out you simply use the same nuts that come with the plenum and use bolts put them back in from the top and use the nuts to lock it in under it like the way the plazmaman plunum goes on. I looked at this before I brought it and I got mine cos it simply looks better then any of the others and alex goes out of his way to help anyone...

To guy who started this thread, you decision has just got harder not easier. Thought he general consensus is aftermarket plenum = good. I have no idea.

I went with Plazmaman. looks so much better and they are suposevly a bit more forgiving on the rear cylynders. I think their piping flows way better aswell and Alex from plazmaman sales is a champ and gave me a great price. as he will anyone from this site.

How would anyone not like a Plazmaman plenum on their motor?

Yes I sell them, and yes I used one on my BA, and loved it... its still sitting in my office and always will, I don't have a car to use it on anymore,but I'm happy to just have it sit there so I can look and admire the work of what I feel is one of the finest automotive, aftermarket hand/machine fabrications you will find, world wide.

Everytime I go into the Plazmaman factory I see plenums being made, Ford, Mits, Nis, Toyo ect mirror polished and sent out world wide...cant be too bad to compete with some top US and Jap brands for a world wide market.

As its been stated here and a zillion times all over the net, correctly designed and built plenums work well... and if you listen to the behind the scenes talk, some even make your motor can make your motor pop, but who believes gossip these days

There is more important factors than just looks or the fact it was wizzed up from a chunk of heatsoaking alloy, or cast in china and bum steered to Aust... flow, cylinder filling, distribution, air temp ect all go towards a plenum that you will notice straight away, befor its on the dyno being re-tuned, the motor will behave better straight away.

If you happy with the way your car drives with the stock plenum, then that's awesome and what we all want... to be happy with our rides, but if you havnt experienced upgrading to a well built plenum, then you cant judge.

Unfortunately plenums are not cheap, and I'm sure even if the boys could bang them out for 500 bucks poeple would still debate over them being worth it, that's just life.

preeching to the choir Chris. One of the best additions to my car so far. Looks great & the performance difference speaks for its self. Thanks again mate for all the help when I was purchasing this product & for the other bits & pieces along the way!!!

Anyone looking for a top quality product & wants a no bullsh!t opinion give chris a yell or pm. He's answered more than his fair share of my stupid questions on more than things related to his products.

A Plenum will allow the tuner to make similar power and in most cases MORE power with LESS BOOST, therefor taking strain off the rods and making for a safer motor.

Yes the stock plenum will goto 400, choking its ass off and ringing your turbo's neck to do it risking your motor.

For the others.

I went from 309 to 357 rwkw's with a plaz plenum.......it blew me away when I was tuning it as I didn't expect that. Used the same dyno too...oh and ran 118mph on the 309 tune so figures shouldn't be too fuzzy. I also managed exactly 300rwkw's on 10psi which isn't to shabby. All this is on a factory exhaust with a high flow cat, which goes to show changing the plenum can be quite beneficial (similar to exhaust) when chasing power. The plenum seems expensive but there's lots of positives and NO negatives at all IMO, apart from cost of course.

Oh and as for drilling holes in the lower manifold..... if you really cared and had half a brain you would use studs and drill out the plaz plenum holes :P
