My V3.5 Rapid kit sounds like that. It's a pretty insane sound actually with only 15psi, plus my car is stock on the outside so no attention seeking!

Anyone now what setup that first 'phoon was using? that was an awesome sound. I got an aftermarket airbox and podfilter decent suction sound not much on the high pitch spool sound though *sigh*, would higher levels of boost increase the sound of the induction?

The turbo spool sound just comes from upping the boost, right? I mean, you need to make sure the system can handle an increase in PSI, so as people mentioned, an intercooler & tune should do it well. If you want the "pshhh" sound from when you change gears, then upgrade the blow off valve.

Induction sound and Turbo whistle are different...

I have an SS Inductions kit on my car (And yes I know they're not worth xxx$ but it was on the car when I got it...) And the induction noise is sick. Bugger all turbo whistle as it's stock...

When running a 12psi tune my turbo whistle, blowoff valve and induction all sounded better and louder. *sigh* A tune will fix the whsitle, and a good CAI will fix the induction noise.

Want good noise? Get a 12psi+ custom Tune, Another BOV if that's what you want/or factory BOV, and a quality induction kit...

Cheers,

Dan
