Could someone let us know where the ASL trigger comes from. I want to be able to turn the amps on when the factory head unit is switched one. at the moment I have the cig lighter, which is triggered with the key. also it would be cool to turn the amps off when car is on but the head unit switched off.

I thought that maybe the power for the lcd backlight could be used to trigger a transistor, it might now work direct as it's dimmable, so obviously the voltage can vary.

Anyone please?

I have no dramas with removing the head unit I have already done the pre-amp out mod.

Cheers.

Easy Solution.... KEEP IT WITH THE CIG LIGHTER, OR GET URSELF AN AMP WITH A HIGH PASS AUTO TRIGGER SENSOR!

The factory amp never had a 'trigger wire' that I am aware of (after reading what all the other guys have said - haven't bothered to play with the F6 stereo as yet myself).

So unless you want to build a little relay and screw around with where to mount it, blah blah, or pull the whole head unit apart again (not advised) then just leave it or get auto triggering amps!

You could whack a little 12v switch on your cigi lighter trigger switch if you like as well, this would act as a manual on off switch... But again - if you can be bothered.
