Well, I had some time to think today, and came up with some questions:

1. If an intercooler is too large - would this create lag due to longer time

required to pressurise the system? Assuming cooler is large enough to cool

the air down sufficiently in the first place.

2. Does the BOV plumbed back into the intake system on a manual car reduce

lag by dumping boost back into the system, reducing time required to pressurise

the system for the subsequent gear?

1. yes it will definately effect the time it takes to see boost pressure in the manifold.

2. to achieve this you must plumb the air back into the compressor wheel at a very specific angle to ensure the flow of air onto the compressor wheel actually makes it spin and not the opposite. You can test the optimum angle with an air gun.

I reckon you would get less lag if you took the bov off and blocked up the whole where it was.
