I bought my 07 BF MKII Ute brand new, it alsmost clocked over 40,000kms now and I just replaced the rear tyres,

After replacing the rears a had a look at the fronts and the inside of both front tyres are scrubbed out down to the wire, there was no mention of this happening at any of the service intervals and I didn't even look at the fronts until I changed the rears

I've never hit anything at all in the ute and I dont understand how they could be scrubbed out so bad

My question is do you think ford would/should provide new tyres and a wheel alignment under warranty?

I'm assuming the wheel alignment was out from factory as like I said I've never ever hit anything, and I also don't understand why they didn't pick this up at the services.

What are your opinions?

Mate 40,000km is good for any tyres.

The wear if even could just be from spirited cornering.

I highly doubt you would have a snowflakes chance of getting that done under warranty.

I get my wheel alignment checked everytime I get new tyres, which is usually 25k km :verysad:

The wheel alignment was out on my ute when I got it.

I had them fix it a approx 1000k's and I think they said they will only do warranty claims up to 2000k's.

When I hinted about extra wear on my tyres they basically laughed at me

I get wheel alignments on all of my cars every 10,000 kays.

Hence why the Euro's tyres are perfect after 30k. And the T has 27k on it and the backs are nearly stuffed, but the fronts are fine. Backs are stuffed mainly thanks to Jade......
