Hey all just got around 5k to spend,

Im getting wheels 2k,

THen 3 k on the car.

What would people recommend I was thinking... DBA 4000's front brakes $500ish?

Then injectors, fuel pump, Cat and rear muffeler, I only want cat and rear muffeler upgrade because I want it to sound tougher, I already have center muffeler removed also.

The tune... I was thinking the fuel pump, injectors tune could see me 250-270??? lol, Then the cat for sound? Cuz I dont want to spend 2k on an entire exhausht, Was even thinkin of valve springs then mabs 300??

What do you guys think... Cheers.

you will want to do the cat before you get your tune done mate if you replace it afterwords you will need a re-tune

I would throw a better intercooler on your list if you only want 250-70rwkw's then a wog/monza/ebay one will do the job but trust me when I say once the power bug hits you wont be able to stop so consider saving a little more and get an intercooler kit from Rapid/Process West/plazmaman the all do good kits at resonable prices (stage 2's around $1900 bucks)

your gonna love the power mate

have fun

What Model turbo do you have? What Gearbox?

If I were you, I'd do;

Cat - $400

Injectors - $600

Fuel Pump - $300

DBA's - $500 (I dont know how much they cost, so I'll go with you :verysad: )

Flash tune and Box - $1,500 approx (Give or take a little)

I wouldn't worry about the upgraded muffler mate....

That's $3,300 for the above mods. If you're in a BA, you may need to do the valve springs as well mate, and your gearbox may need upgrading as well, depending on what it is...

Hope that helps mate,

Cheers,

Dan

:roflmbo:

Yep, the cat is all about getting better flow. You could even get hotdogs put in where the rear muffler is if you want better sound on the cheap...

Other than that, get a cat-back or a turbo back system. That's the only answer.

ok cheers,

I have a BA 04 xr6t, wit the 4spd, I dont wanna hit 300rwkw cuz that's when u need the new gearbox and around that you need valve springs to so that's why im aiming for 280ish,

I was thinking I could hit 280 with injectors, pump and a tune.... But I really wanted better sound,

Should I get a cat back exhaust to maybe? What sort of one should I get to make it sound hektic... lol cheers.

Hey mate,

Just remember that a cat-back will offer little to no gains in performance...

I have a manta Catback on my car that was there when I bought it. I really like the sound to be honest. Sounds like a quiet v8 at rest then roars when you stomp the loud pedal.

Probably much of a muchness with cat-backs though...
