Well after nearly six months of build time, I finally picked up the typhoon on friday afternoon. The run in tune made a very easy 450rwkw on 14psi. Quite confident that they 600rwkw barrier wont be an issue at all. Anyway driving it home and pulled up at a speed hump, went back to first gear to go over it and it popped out and the car stalled. I hit the button to start the car only to hear a shocking rattling sound coming from the gearbox/clutch area. When its out of gear, theres no noise at all but as soon as you try and put it in any gear, it starts clunking and rattling like no tomorrow.

Car got towed bad to the shop to find the issue.

Now this thing has 15000kms, I would find it very suprising if it was the box which makes mean lean towards the clutch. But this is my next problem, its Mal Woods top of the line option 6 clutch that has literally done 70km. 60km on the dyno and 10km by me on the way home. Surly the clutch could not have failed in this short amount of time??

Would be interested to hear your opinions...

If it is the gearbox, PPGs 1 to 4 Helical Gearbox sex is going in for the t56.

A broken clutch would make a noise whenever the engine is turning me thinks...

Since it only occurs when you try to put it in gear I'd say it's a safe bet it's the box.

The clutch will not fail in that time frame, but you will not know until you remove everything back to the clutch then go through it all.

Give me a call tomorrow and I will go through a list of things to check first. Mal
