What is worse, I think they actually have to send it away to get the CDs out, so you will have no sound at all for a while .

Open both front doors; Take out my floor mats(to put on the ground so I dont hurt my knees) Wedge my 6'4"-150 kg self upside down between the steering wheel ,front seat and lower door sill and stare blankly for about 15 minutes.Seriously, take it to the dealer they will take the unit out,get some numbers off it,put it back in and call you when the new one arrives. They will then swap the unit over sending your cd's on a trip to Melbourne where they are removed and sent back to u good luck!!!!! Guest BlackMagic Guests Posted 25/08/03 04:16 AM Share Posted 25/08/03 04:16 AM bluexrt,No problems over my end....exactly same thing happend and was very p#$$%* :cussing: But the service manager is a good mate of mine and fixed it up within 1 hour of bringing it in to the shop - new unit and colour screen - no questions asked. The only thing is I'm still waiting for my 6 cds that got sent back to Melbourne with the old unit and its been 3 weeks. Which reminds me.......Make sure you record the cds that they sent away too just in case.

Two trips to the dealer to get it fixed; the first to check it out get serial numbers etc , then wait while they order the unit then take it back 5 days later for fitting.Waiting on the CD's to come back can take a month apparently. Problem is the warranty on these units is provided by the maker (Sanyo) not Ford, so getting a problem fixed is a painful process IMO.
